The State Hospital

Project Value: £65,000,000
Main Contractor: Skanska
Value: £2,400,000

The State Hospital is Scotland and Northern Ireland’s maximum secure hospital. Three levels of security were required within leading facility.

The client chose SecureLine® SwingVent® steel/aluminium composite anti-ligature windows for patient rooms. FENDOR Slipper Clutch™ handle was also specified, allowing patients to control their own level of ventilation without comprising security. Steel SwingVent® has a seamless flush finish and is fully anti-ligature, safeguarding vulnerable patients.

SecureLine® aluminium windows were fitted to supervised areas. AlphaLine™ aluminium windows were fitted to office accommodation.

SecureLine® doors were fitted to both internal and external elevations, maximising light within the various buildings.
