Rampton LDU Secure Healthcare Glazing

Project Value: £35,000,000
Main Contractor: Laing O’Rourke
Value: £1,100,000
Architect: Gillling Dod Architects
Requirement: Rampton Hospital required optimum security within a safe environment. The hospital was designed to be light and airy.

The client chose steel SwingVent® anti-contraband windows, which allow the patient to control their own ventilation without placing them at risk. The flush face of the window has no ligature points. The SwingVent® triple glazed windows are robust enough to withstand potential attack to both the frame and glazing element, which is maximised due to the slim steel profiles.

The client also specified SecureLine™ facades to allow communal areas to be filled with natural light in for stunning high secure learning disability unit.
