Navigation Warehouse, Wakefield

Project Value:
Main Contractor: William Anelay Ltd
Value: £320,000
Architect: Building Design Partnership
Requirement: Automated FireLine™ windows and screens

The 150 year old Navigation Warehouse in Wakefield presented a range of challenges on this RIBA award winning refurbishment. Working within the constraints of a Grade 2 listed building, Fendor created bespoke curved head detailed FireLine™ windows with automatic closures in case of fire. The external windows are linked to the M&E system so that the windows open to vent the building when necessary. Doors and internal screens compliment the sympathetic design.
